Yukiki cracked open his eye-lids. He was lying on a couch in Hanana's house-- or at least he assumed it was her house. Placed on the table next to him was his hat. The place was decorated much to look like it was Spring time.  His head was aching(yes, he gets headaches). From the room next door, there was a gentle humming. Leaving his hat on the table, Yukiki peered into the other room.

Hanana sat patiently, after getting the unconscious Yukiki inside with the help of Samama. She would have waited in the same room until he woke up, but the pink-haired girl didn't want to accidentally wake him up.  So, she went to the kitchen, the cake was on the counter after being in the fridge. Cake always tasted better after sitting in the fridge for a while. But, after a while, Hanana began to get bored so she began to hum a little tune as she stared out the window.

Whether he should say something or maybe cough, Yukiki wasn't sure. If he had been in this kind of situation before, he'd have some idea on what to do. But he hasn't, so he didn't. Instead, the snowman just lingered there, only half of him showing behind the doorway. But now he was just being a complete coward. Couldn't have that. So he stepped out from behind the doorway and into the kitchen. He didn't know what to say so he coughed.

Hanana stopped humming and turned her head to look at him. "Oh, you're awake!" She gestured to the seat next to her. "Why don't you go ahead and take a seat and I'll cut us a piece of cake." He waited until she was out of her seat to sit down, although he did make sure to scoot away a bit from her seat to have some space. Hanana cut out two slices of cake, putting both on their own plate and grabbing a fork for each. Yukiki began to get an awkward feeling as she set the piece of cake in front of him.

"It's chocolate with a strawberry cream in the middle." Hanana told him, handing him a fork before taking her seat and waited for him to try it. After a while of him staring at the nicely made treat, it occurred to Hanana that perhaps he was just nervous and that he might be new to being invited to eat cake. So, taking her fork, the red-haired girl took a bite, chewed, savoring the sweet flavor, and swallowed. She then smiled at him. "See? You should try it."

Still feeling awkward, Yukiki copied her and took a bite. At first, all he really noticed was that he couldn't taste(duh), but then he started to realize the texture. If he were to describe it, it would be like a sort of chewy cloud with a smooth creamy middle. It was a strange texture that seemed quite appealing to Yukiki. And, for the first time, his face loosened in a content expression. Hanana obviously saw this and her smile grew a little wider. Upon noticing this, he returned to his usual hollow expression. Yukiki felt his face get a little warm.

They ate the rest of their cake in silence. When Yukiki had finished his, he asked if he could have another. The cake was small, made to be cut into four slices. Yukiki had three, and finished them with little effort. After the cake was all gone, Hanana showed him around the house. There wasn't much to look at since it was a one-story house. The only thing that peeked Yukiki's interest was a grand piano that had been in one of the smaller rooms.

"You play piano?" Yukiki asked, walking over to the piano and lifted the cover to reveal the ivory keys.

"From time to time. My mother had taught me." Hanana said. "Do you know how to play?"

"Being an assassin has never required me to learn it, so, no."

And idea hit Hanana. "Then how would you like if I taught you?" She sat down on the long seat in front of the keyboard and patted the empty space next to her. Of course, Yukiki would have rejected, but, somehow, he found himself sitting down beside her.

Her smile made him feel awkward again. But he tried to ignore that as she began to teach him about the notes and which keys to push to play the notes. In the beginning, Yukiki was having a hard time learning the notes. There was a point when Yukiki simply wanted to give up on the whole thing saying how absurdly hard it was. Hanana told him that it took time and that he could do it if he kept trying. Yukiki had felt his face get a little warm and decided to take her advice. As time went on, he started to progress better and better. He'd finally was able to play "Mary had a Little Lamb" without pressing any of the wrong keys. When he did this, Hanana clapped and her smile grew even bigger. Yukiki found himself smiling back.

"You should smile more." Hanana said, after Yukiki had stopped smiling. "You look much more happy when you smile. It suites you better."

Suites me better? As far as Yukiki could remember, he only smiled when he was enjoying work, which probably didn't count in this case. It was strange because he had rather enjoyed that day with Hanana.

     With Hanana.

The awkwardness returned once more. Yukiki also became awfully aware of how close the pink-haired girl was sitting. His face was much warmer, almost enough to melt, and he began to panic a little. The snowman stood up abruptly, almost knocking the seat along with Hanana over. Without a word, he walked out of the room, grabbed his hat, put it on, and walked out of the house.

"W-wait!" Hanana called, wondering what had caused him to act so suddenly before following after him. She managed to catch up with him at the front porch. The sun was already beginning to set. Had it been that long? It all seemed to go by so fast. "Please, don't go yet!" Hanana said grabbing the sleeve of his coat. He turned around quickly and pulled away from her grasp. About to walk away again, Yukiki stopped when he saw tears starting to appear.

"Hanana..." He paused, suddenly feeling guilty, thinking of what to say. "...sorry, I shouldn't have come." Yukiki turned to leave.

"No, no. There's no need for you to say sorry."

What? He stopped again, turning to look at her, he felt his expression change to complete shock.

"I had a lot of fun today." Hanana brushed off her tears. "You just surprised me. I thought for a moment that maybe I offended you in some way. And, if I did, I'm sorry." The situation was now beyond what he expected. But now that he was in it, he felt he should do something. Yukiki turned his back to her and walked away.

Hanana looked down at the ground. So he was angry.

"Hey. Hanana." The pink-haired girl looked up to see Yukiki standing by the gate, his back to her. "Would it..." He sighed. "Would it be alright if I come and visit sometime? You could...teach me more songs to play on the piano."

Hanana smiled with joy, speed-walked across the lawn and gave him a quick hug. "Of course! I'll even make some more cake! Maybe I could even show you my garden out in the back."

"Yeah. That sounds nice." Yukiki found himself smiling again, still in a daze from the sudden hug.

He had remained in a daze all the way back to the mansion. That whole day was still clear and vivid in his head. It had been the first time anyone had ever been so nice to him since, well, ever. Which made him think, why was Hanana to nice to him. Yukiki didn't get the chance to really think about it as he opened the front door to the mansion.

"Welcome back, Yukiki, yo!" Putata said with an almost sneering smile as Yukiki closed the door behind him. "How did your date with Hanana go?" He said "date" with a cough.

Yukiki caught himself. It would turn out very bad for him if he responded. Knowing all too well what the light-haired, artist was trying to do, Yukiki gave no answer and walked passed him. But only to be stopped by Mekeke, who wore the same expression as Putata.

"Yep! It's written all over his face!" Mekeke laughed as Yukiki pushed passed him. "Our lil' snowman has found himself a flower!"

The two friends hooked arms, doing some sorta dance, and began to chant together. "Yukiki has got a girlfriend! Yukiki has got a girlfriend!" Before Yukiki could leave the room, they grabbed him by the arms and plopped him down on a chair and continued their chant. "Yuki and Hana, sitting in a tree! K.I.S.S.I.N.G! First comes love. Then comes marriage! Then comes a baby in a baby carriage!" By this time, Yukiki was beyond speaking for it took most of his strength to keep a straight face. "That's not all! That's not all! The baby has got a carrot nose!" The two broke out in laughter. Once their laughter died down they took a seat, sitting on either side of Yukiki.

"So, what happened, yo?" Putata asked. "Where'd you go?"

Yukiki didn't want to be here, he really didn't. But there was no possible way of getting out of it. And there was no escaping the fact that he was blushing as he spoke. "Went to Hanana's house and had cake."

"Went to Hanana's house and what?" Putata leaned closer to hear.

     "Had cake."

"What?" They both leaned closer, still unable to make out what he said. "Speak up, we can't hear you."

Now it had all become too much for the poor snowman. He pushed both of them away, knocking them over with their chairs slipping from under them. Taking that chance, Yukiki made a quick escape down the hallway. He kept walking until he reached a room that had no one inside and shut the door behind him. Though, what he found in the room was quiet a surprise to the snowman.

A piano? Yukiki thought. Instead of the grand piano, like Hanana's, it was an upright piano, with a small stool, and looked as though it hadn't been used in centuries. Yukiki took a seat on the small stool and removed the cover, which seemed ready to pop off it's hinges. Most of the keys were still there, only maybe four or five were missing. He tested out the keys that were there to see if they all worked, thankfully, they did.

"Doku?" He turned to see Dokuku, Giruru's ghostly brother and probably the only person out of the Corps members that Yukiki could stand. The reason to this is probably because the only thing Dokuku can say, without possessing someone, is Doku. He suspected Dokuku was wondering about the piano, but it was just a guess. Yukiki said nothing and, for no apparent reason, started playing a few songs he'd learned from Hanana. Dokuku smiled and sat(?) on top of the piano and listened, stealing Yukiki's hat and putting it on, though Yukiki payed no mind to this. The see-through ghost seemed to like his hat and would often wear it without Yukiki noticing.

The snowman continued to play, peacefully, and smiling, until Putata came barging in and began to sing something that didn't even match the song. Something about a midnight train? But, the light-haired artist soon got kicked out. And, just as Yukiki was about to fall asleep, one thought popped into his head.

I should get something nice for Hanana tomorrow. Were his last thoughts as he drifted off into the darkness of sleep.
EDIT...again: thank you :iconlavie-chan-lady: for finding my mistakes on here *shot dead* I'll try harder on not making anyone more mistakes
I don't care what you people think, I enjoyed writing this part! *shot dead again*
